Photos of places, not business listings
Instead of ranking businesses, the platform ranks photographs of locations, based on community engagement and the reviews of professional photographers. A place is worth visiting because of what people have captured there, not because of who is paying to be listed.
Business popularity does not affect rankings, and there is no way for anyone — including the administrators — to push one photo above another. The focus is entirely on the quality and appeal of the photographs.
Organised by season
Saudi Spots is organised by season: Winter, Summer, Spring and Autumn. Open the Winter section and you see the highest-rated winter photography spots, so you can explore the best places to visit at each time of year. Each season has its own independent ranking.
Open to the whole community
Any registered user can add a spot and upload photos to any approved spot. Every new spot passes an administrator review before it appears — for everyone, with no exceptions. Whether photos are published immediately or held for review is a single setting the administrator turns on or off.
The goal is to encourage photographers to capture Saudi Arabia's natural beauty, landmarks, cafés, deserts, mountains, beaches and hidden gems, while helping travellers discover where to go in every season.
Recognition that is earned
The Professional Photographer role is not applied for. It is earned automatically once a user's published work reaches the levels of followers, likes, comments and interactions the administrator sets. Promotion brings a verified photographer badge, a public portfolio, and ratings that carry professional weight.
